Abstract:
In the future, there expected to be ten main trends in the regional development in China, among which the regional disparities will continue to exist and to expand in a considerably long period of time. However, proactive policy measures could slow down the widening of the gaps. With the urbanization continues to develop at an accelerated speed, the cities will play a growing role in the economic development. With the strengthening of the inter-city economic ties, big urban belts will become the driving force in the regional economic development. As enterprises are becoming the dominant parties in the market, the big enterprises playing more significant roles in the allocation of economic resource across regions.
