On May 20, Vice President Liu Shijin met with Mr Nguyen Viet Thong, Secretary General of Central Theoretical Committee of Vietnamese Communist Party.

The two sides exchanged views on China's experiences on reform, opening up, socioeconomic development. Those present at the meeting were Mr Hou Yongzhi, Director General of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Mr Lan Weiban, Deputy Director General of International Cooperation Department of DRC, and Mr Zhao Shitong, Deputy Director General of International Department of CPC Central Committee.
