Abstract

China has introduced 53 documents on national strategic regional planning to further elaborate and implement national strategic development. There are four aspects of planning: new regions, regional planning, guidance and advice, and comprehensive reform. They aim to build regions with international competitiveness, pushing forward development and transformation of key areas, pushing forward sustainable development of developing areas, deepening regional cooperation and “opening up,” and exploring development and reform pilot areas.
