On September 16, President Li Wei met with Mr. Markus Erderer, EU Ambassador to China. President Li answered questions from the guests on the relationship between market and government, the role of SOEs, and the local debt issues in China and so on. Ambassador Erderer introduced recent developments of the EU economy. Both sides expressed the wish to strengthen cooperation between DRC and the EU counterparts. Mr. Hou Yongzhi, Director General of the Research Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Mr Lan Weiban, Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department, were present at the meeting.
