On May 21, the Inception Workshop on the ADB TA project Logistics System Development for Agricultural Products was Held in Beijing. The DRC is the Executive Agency of the project and the International Cooperation Department of DRC is the Implementing Agency. A consulting team composed of top logistics experts from RAND Cooperation and the Institute of Market Economy is tasked to conduct the research with joint efforts. The EA Representative DRC Vice President Dr. Han Jun participated in the workshop and made important remarks at the opening session. Ms Sun Lanlan, Director General of the International Cooperation Department chaired the workshop and made closing remarks. Mr. Hamid Sharif, ADB Chief Representative in China, Ms. Debra Knopman, Vice President of RAND Corporation and Chinese officials and experts from the relevant ministries, industrial associations and research institutions totaling around 40 participated in the workshop.
