At the invitation of DRC, a delegation from Egyptian Information and Decision Support Center for the Cabinet (IDSC) led by Major General Mohmoud El Kholy, Senior Advisor to IDSC Chairman, visited China on Arpil 9-18. DRC President Li Wei met with the IDSC delegation on April 11 and exchanged views with Egyptian guests on issues of economic and social development in China and of DRC-IDSC cooperation. Before the meeting, Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director General of DRC’s International Cooperation Department, and Mr. Salah Shehata, Executive Manager of IDSC, signed the DRC-IDSC MOU on behalf of respective organizations. On the same day, DRC Vice President Hou Yunchun chaired a seminar on which Mr. Mohmoud El Kholy delivered a presentation on the current political and economic situation in Egypt and the Egyptian view on the world economic situation. Over 30 DRC researchers attended the seminar. During its stay in Beijing, the IDSC delegation had meetings with Department of African Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Information Center, the State Council Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs, Institute of West Asian and African Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Peking University and Tsinghua University. The delegation also visited Shanghai where they had meetings with Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) and Pudong Academy of Executive Leadership.
