On, June 19th, Mr. Zhang Yutai, President of DRC met with a Japanese delegation headed by Mr. OIKAWA Kozo, Chairman of Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI). The two sides exchanged views on the economic performances both in China and Japan against the backdrop of global financial crisis, as well as the perspective of the further cooperation between the two organizations. Prior to this meeting, Mr. FUJITA Masahisa, President of RIETI and Prof. WAKASUGI Ryuhei, research counselor of RIETI, both of whom are from the delegation, made presentations on “Reshaping East Asia and the World Economy in the wake of Financial Crisis” and “Outward and Inward FDI and Industrial Policy of Japan” respectively, in the workshop participated by counterparts from DRC. Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director General of International Cooperation Department of DRC chaired the workshop. Mr. Chen Xiaohong, Director General of Enterprise Research Institute, Mr. Lin Jiabin, Deputy Director General of Research Department of Social Development, Mr. Lan Weiban, Deputy Director General of International Cooperation Department of DRC and other related researchers, as well as officials from Ministry of Commerce were present at the meeting.
