A Chinese delegation led by DRC President Zhang Yutai attended the “29th Sino-Japanese Forum on Exchange of Economic Knowledge” held in Okinawa, Japan from May 11th to 13th. Delegates from China and Japan exchanged views on the macroeconomic situation, financial crisis and the countermeasures taken by China and Japan, bilateral economic and technological cooperation, environmental protection, regional development and so forth. Among the Chinese participants in the meeting were senior official members of the forum from the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, People’s Bank of China, Ministry of Finance , China Minmetals Corporation. Other official members attending the forum from DRC included Mr. Wang Mengkui, former President of DRC, Mme. Li Boxi, Senior Research Fellow; Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director General of International . Cooperation Department; Mr. Zhang Junkuo, Director General of Research Department. of Development Strategy and Regional Economy; Mr. Zhao Jinping, Deputy Director General of Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Mr. Lin Jiabin Deputy Director General of Department of Social Development and Mme. Zhang Chenghui, Deputy Director General of Research Institute of Finance.
