On April 8-9, the 15th China-France Economic Conference, co-sponsored by Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and France-China Committee, was held in Beijing. Mme. Chen Zhili, Vice Chairman of NPC Standing Committee, Mr. Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former French Prime Minister, and several hundred Chinese and French delegates attended the conference. DRC President Zhang Yutai addressed the opening ceremony. Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director General of International Cooperation Department of DRC chaired the Round-Table on April 8 on the subject of “Establishing New Partnership Among Sino-French Enterprises in the Economic Crisis”. Dr. Long Guoqiang, Deputy Director General of Research Department of Foreign Economic Relations of DRC made a speech in the Round-table. 30 delegates from Chinese and French enterprises, academia and government participated in the Round-Table discussions.
