On February 25th, President Zhang Yutai met with an Egyptian delegation headed by Mr. Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Minister of Trade and Industry. President Zhang gave an introduction to the negative impacts of global financial crisis on Chinese economy and China’s responses and countermeasures. Both sides exchanged views on how China and Egypt could work together to achieve a win-win situation against the backdrop of global financial crisis. Mr. Mahmoud Allam, Egyptian Ambassador to China, Dr. Zhang Xiaoji, Director General of DRC’s Research Department. of Foreign Economic Relations, Mr. Xia Bin, Director General of Research Institute of Finance, Mme. Ren Xingzhou, Director General of Institute of Market Economy, Mr. Lan Weiban, Deputy Director General of International Cooperation Department, and Mr. Zhang Liqun, Senior Research Fellow of Department. of Macroeconomic Research, were present at the meeting.
