A Chinese delegation led by DRC President Wang Mengkui attended the “27th Sino-Japanese Forum on Exchange of Economic Knowledge” held in Ehime, Japan from May 21 to 23. Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi sent a letter of congratulations to the conference. Delegates from China and Japan exchanged views on the world economic situation and its impact; bilateral economic, technological and business cooperation and issues of expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption. Among the Chinese participants in the meeting were senior official members of the forum from National Development and Reform Commission, People’s Bank of China, Ministry of Finance and DRC senior research fellow Li Boxi, as well as Deputy Director General Zhao Jinping from Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Deputy Director General Lin Jiabin from Department of Social Development and senior research fellow Li Jianwei.
