A meeting was recently held between the chairman of Dehong political consultative committee and the director of Myanmar Mine Ministry’s jewelry department, resulting in an agreement on strengthening the cooperation of the jade industries between the two countries.

Chairman Gong Jingzheng delivered a speech, saying that China, as a neighboring country, has intimate bonds with Myanmar’s economy, tourism and culture.

Further developing the jewelry industry will be a win-win decision. It will enrich people’s lives and bring benefits to both sides, he noted.

The department director briefly introduced the distribution and exploitation of jade stones in Myanmar.

In addition, he also expressed his hope to establish a communication system for companies and industry associations of the two countries, helping to increase exchanges and interaction in market information and processing technologies.
