Delegates from Dehong Autonomous Prefecture made a fantastic debut at an International Cultural Tourism Festival Opening Ceremony held on April 30 in Kunming, Yunnan’s capital city.

During the three-day gala, 57 performers in silver holding trichords and red fans have offered a great audio and video feast, including five different kinds of ethnic songs and dances, which left a deep impression on the visitors’ homes and abroad.

Many tourists infected by the enthusiasm and passions also clasped hands and danced following the performer’s moves and rhythms. “They are so warm and kind, and the dances are also beautiful. We plan to have a trip in Dehong,” said two visitors from Fujian.

The show, with theme “Beautiful Dehong, Romantic Tour,” was mainly sponsored by the local government and supported by the local tourism administration. It also displayed the area’s various cultures – the Buddhism, the frontier culture and the jade culture—to arouse the tourists’ curiosity about this autonomous prefecture.

In addition, delegations from the province’s remaining 15 autonomous prefectures and seven foreign performing troupes also participated in the gala.
