The Dehong investment promotion conference was held on Feb 22, 2011.

 

Zhao Jin, the secretary of Dehong Prefectural Committee, summarized Dehong’s achievements and experiences in attracting investment over the past six years, before analyzing the current situation and laying down tasks for further investment promotion work for this year and in the coming 12th Five-Year Plan period.

 

He pointed out that great importance should be attached on the project of building Dehong into a “bridgehead gold port” of Southwest China, and the construction of a key experimental zone in Ruili.

 

Zhao said in his statement, “We must strive to attract more large enterprises which will bring benefits to the local area to establish industries in the region, especially those which will help consolidate the emerging bio-industry in Dehong.”

 

Meng Biguang, governor of Dehong Prefecture, expressed his approval of the area’s recent achievements in attracting investment, and stressed “More efforts should be made to achieve certain key tasks demanded by the current situation. Better services should also be provided to the chamber of commerce in Dehong.”

 

He then called on leaders at all levels to make concerted efforts, clearly define responsibilities and fully implement policies to ensure the successful accomplishment of investment promotion targets.
