The first “Guangcai Cup” basketball tournament held by the Individual & Private Enterprise Association, Dehong, and the Industrial and Commercial Bureau, Dehong, kicked off on November 23 in Mangshi, Dehong.

Yang Qinghua, vice-chairman of the Dehong Prefectural Committee of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC (Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference), addressed the opening ceremony and gave his congratulations on the opening of the tournament. Yang praised the contributions of the individual and private enterprises have made to Dehong’s economic development and wished success for the tournament.

The tournament, which lasted four days from November 23 to November 26, consisted of 34 games. Eight teams from the Individual & Private Association took part in the tournament.

In recent years, the individual and private enterprises in Dehong have witnessed a rapid development. They have spread into various industries, such as agriculture, catering and transportation. The rapid growth of the private economy has contributed to the sustainable development of Dehong’s economy.
