China Eastern Airlines held its mass selection of air hostesses in Mangshi City, Dehong, on Oct. 24. All the candidates were from different ethnic groups and dressed in costumes with ethnic features.

Zhang Yuliang, a young man from the Dai ethnic group is a tour guide in Kunming. To be an air host is his dream. “For the other tests, I feel fine. I’m only worried about the English interview.” He is not the only one who has this concern. Among more than 200 candidates, most of them think the English interview will be a major obstacle.

Mass selection in the Lijiang area has finished. Thirty-five were chosen from over 200 candidates. They will participate in the second round of interviews in Kunming.
