Ruili Border Economic Cooperation Zone is located in Ruili City, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan, China. Ruili Border Economic Cooperation Zone was approved to be established by the State Council in 1992 to promote trade between China and Myanmar.

Ruili Border Economic Cooperation Zone mainly covers the import and export of processing products, local agriculture and biological resources. With China-Myanmar business growing fast in recent years, Myanmar has grown into one of Yunnan's largest foreign trade partners.

In 1999, China-Myanmar trade accounted for 77.4% of Yunnan's foreign trade. In the same year, the exports of electromechanical equipment shot up to USD 55.28 million. The exports from Ruili Border Economic Cooperation Zone mainly include fiber cloth, cotton yarn, ceresin wax, mechanical equipment, fruit, rice seeds, fiber yarn and tobacco.
