From mid to late November, a smart telephone police system was applied as a pilot project by a local police station in Southern China’s Zhejiang province to handle procedures for migrant workers.
The smart system, entitled “COP steward” can be used not only to record daily police work such as patrolling and case handling, but also to process documents.
For temporary resident permits, police can record the personal information of migrant workers and upload it to the background program without requiring the workers to leave home.
This is one of moves to upgrade police services to the general public. Based on recognition of economic growth, police services are determined to be ready to serve where they are needed.
