Sichuan promotes legal information in villages

Sichuan organized a women instructional team to present legal information to villagers in Zamtang county on Nov 20.

The promotion includes learning about the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, conferences on Tibetan autonomous prefectures in Sichuan province, as well as Traffic Law, Contract Law and Marriage Law, which play important roles in people’s daily lives.

Some medical policies such as free premarital physical checks, childbirth subsidies and prevention of hydatidosis disease will also be presented to villagers.

The interpreters had a vivid legal lesson for farmers and herdsmen through examples, solutions, on-site consultation and distribution of leaflets, in both the Tibetan language and standard Chinese.

Local villagers were interested in the laws and asked questions actively, learning how to use legal weapons to safeguard their legitimate rights through the staff’s interpretation.
