Handling of the neighborhood relationship in maintaining the houses and facilities
When maintaining the housing facilities, how to deal with the neighboring relationship is a problem frequently encountered in life. To handle the problem, the Property Law provides that “Where an obligee of real property, for constructing or maintaining a building, or laying wires, cables, or pipelines for water, heating or gas, has to use the neighboring land or building, the owner of the said land or building shall provide the necessary convenience accordingly.” In accordance with this provision, if the neighbor downstairs discovers that the pipes in his home get clogged, and the problem is caused by the upstairs neighbor, the upstairs neighbor shall have to provide convenience and allow the downstairs neighbor to conduct inspection.
