Wenjiang gains great achievements in 2018

Wenjiang district, Chengdu in Southwest China's Sichuan province has ranked among China's top 100 districts for seven continuous years. As a core area of Chengdu, Wenjiang achieved sustained and healthy development in 2018.
During the Hong Kong-Macao-Sichuan Cooperation Week held in November last year, Chengdu Medical City in Wenjiang caught the attention of investors, and became a highlight of Chengdu's health industry sector.
The 116-kilometer-long greenway constructed last year is now a landmark of Wenjiang and made the districted listed among the national ecological demonstration zone for ecological civilization construction.
The railway between Chengdu and Yaan was put into operation last year, making Wenjiang connected with high-speed railways and bringing opportunities for new economy development in the district.
According to data, the gross regional product of Wenjiang in 2018 was estimated at 52.7 billion yuan ($7.8 billion), an increase of 8.6 percent over 2017. The general public budgets grew by 9.1 percent to 4.62 billion yuan. The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents reached 42,930 yuan and 27,600 yuan, respectively.
This year, Wenjiang aims to increase its gross regional product by 7.8 percent, general public budgets by 8 percent, and per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents by 7.6 and 8 percent, respectively.
