Wenjiang looks to improve community governance

The year's first community governance competition and community governance meeting were recently held in Wenjiang district, Chengdu. Twelve community governance cases were presented at the event.

After being reviewed by experts and the public, Linjiang village in Hesheng town, Tianxing village in Shouan town, and Xuefu community in Tianfu sub-district took first, second, and third place.

With help from the strong tourism potential of the Beilin Greenway, Linjiang village is focusing on building unique homestays to provide a comfortable experience for tourists.

The competition was expected to help Wenjiang improve community governance and overcome difficulties related to service center reformation, courtyard governance, creating a cultural atmosphere, and cultivation of management personnel.

A number of social organizations and companies attended the community governance meeting and 38 cooperation contracts were signed.
