Wenjiang holds Beilin greenway half marathon

The first half marathon of Beilin Greenway, Lujia Beach, Wenjiang district was held on Oct 26 with over 400 participants joining the competition.

The racing track was 4,200 meters long and equipped with several medical aid posts in case of emergency situations.

Participants from the companies and institutions of Wenjiang were divided into 10-people groups and awarded according to the competition results.

Representative teams from Qijiang community, Hesheng Town Health Center, Tuqiao village, Guangshui community and Liyi village won the top five spots in the marathon.

The natural scene of Beilin greenway best represents the ecological landscape, cultural deposits and livable environment of Lujia Beach, Hesheng town.

According to a staff member of Hesheng town, the marathon held in Lujia Beach is aimed at raising people's awareness of environmental protection and healthiness, as well as building a high-grade cultural atmosphere in Wenjiang.
