Wenjiang listed among China's top 100 districts

According to the recently released 2018 development index study of small and medium-sized cities, Wenjiang is among the nation's top 100 districts, marking the 7th continuous year for the district to win the title.
The study analyzes the comprehensive strength of 692 districts with promising development trends based on economic development, social progress, environmental friendliness, integration of urban and rural areas, and government efficiency.
According to the Wenjiang statistical bureau, the regional GDP of Wenjiang reached 25.52 billion yuan ($3.7 billion) during the first half of 2018, revealing steady growth.

Wenjiang has launched 134 major social investment projects with a total investment of 8.13 billion yuan and has received 3.1 billion yuan in government investments. With an extensive global investment network, Wenjiang signed 19 major new projects with a planned investment of 36.1 billion yuan.
Additionally, Wenjiang has strived to improve the livelihood of its people by transforming eight old courtyards, 100 shanty towns, and 497 villages, improving 17 bus routes, building 45 civic centers, organizing 590 owners committees, adding 3,164 new jobs, helping 200 disabled people with employment and entrepreneurship, and adding 15 schools.
