First flower fair to be held in Wenjiang

According to local sources, Wenjiang district, Chengdu is to hold the area's first flower fair from Sept 21 to 24 in Guanghua Park. It will be the largest and highest-level fair in Wenjiang.

It will be the first grand flower fair since the 6th China Flower Expo held in 2005. This time, the fair will have five halls, including a flower hall, bonsai hall, orchid hall, plant plaiting hall, and flower production and marketing hall.

It will also include a company exhibition area, horticultural market area, and plant plaiting technology exhibition area.

In addition to the main venue of Guanghua Park, the flower and tree trading center in Wenjiang Eco-Tech Economic Industrial Park, flower and tree logistics center near the Chengdu Second Beltway, and Minjiang village, Shouan town will also serve as hosts for the fair.

All the latest flower and tree varieties, as well as indoor, balcony and courtyard garden landscapes, will be exhibited at the fair.

With the attendance of famous horticultural companies, associations and brokers, the fair will bring business opportunities to Wenjiang's horticultural industry, according to Wang Qi, secretary general of the Wenjiang Flower Association.
