Wenjiang holds community culture festival

The opening ceremony of Wenjiang 9th Community Culture Festival was held in Guanghua Park of Liucheng subdistrict on June 21.

Attendees enjoyed cultural programming like theater, song and dance that contained regional elements performed by Wenjiang citizens ranging from students to retired teachers, farmers to policemen and officials.

With a theme of homesickess, the opening cemermony featured an exhibition and cultural heritage experience area so attendees could feel the cultural charm and spirit of Wenjiang.

The Wenjiang Community Culture Festival was specifically designed for citizens. This year's sponsors include the district government, Wenjiang Culture, Broadcasting and Information Bureau, and sub-district offices.

The Wenjiang Community Culture Festival will continue until the end of July with more than 50,000 people expected to participate. Upcoming events at the include a rural tourism festival, a mass talent show and a celebration of "people you are most moved by".
