Wenjiang holds environmental protection activity

A public environmental protection activity was held in Hesheng county of Chengdu’s Wenjiang district on May 28.

Villagers from Linjiang village in Hesheng county appealed to the public to take care of the environment, while officials from the Wenjiang district, Hesheng county and Linjiang village signed an environmental protection agreement. The three parties have agreed to jointly organize activities in order to push Wenjiang’s environment protection forward.

A public environmental protection supermarket was set up in Linjiang county to encourage locals to take care of the environment. The supermarket does not accept money for items, but instead will redeem credit points that local residents can earn through doing beneficial things for the environment.

After the supermarket launching ceremony, villagers and volunteers took part in a bike riding activity to visit the Lujiatan riverside.
