Science activity held in Wenjiang

The opening ceremony of the 22nd “Science and Technology Spring” Population Activity was held in Chengdu’s Wenjiang district on March 9.
As a joint effort of the Chengdu municipal publicity department, the Chengdu Association for Science and Technology, the Wenjiang administrative committee and the Wenjiang district government, the activity attracted over 400 people including representatives from local Wenjiang universities and enterprises. Over 1,000 local residents also took part in interactive activities themed around “Green Development and Innovation” at the event.
Ding Ning, deputy director of the Wenjiang district, announced the first publishing of Wenjiang Entrepreneur Stories at the ceremony.
Wenjiang’s first hand-drawn map for science popularization was also released. The map highlights the district’s 14 science venues, including the Wenjiang Meteorology Popularization Base.
Wenjiang district has been actively promoting science and technology popularization in recent years. Official statistics show that over 300 science popularization activities have been held in the district.
Additionally, more than 100 technology training sessions have been held in Wenjiang’s local villages, helping more than 80,000 people to better understand new technologies.
