Rapid development
The district, known as Golden Wenjiang for its riches and abundance of land and products, lies to the west of Chengdu's central area and has been on the Chengdu Top 10 county and district list for 17 years In a row.
It has improved its traditional, competitive industries with sustainable development in mind and has attracted foreign investment. It has established the Chengdu National Cross-Straits Science and Technology Park, the largest national economic development zone in China's southwest.
It is also one of the country's first smart cities, with its travel, shopping, education and medical facilities all in line with international standards.
Favorable for living
It is located in the downstream part of the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, and in the center of Chengdu Plain, giving it a uniquely advantageous location, with abundant rainfall and four distinct seasons.
The rivers flowing through it are the Jinma, Yangliu, Jiangan, and Qingshui, from northwest to southeast. For centuries, it has experienced no famines or floods, and it is the "natural green lung" for Chengdu central urban area.
Rich tourist and entertainment possibilities
The district contains the Yufu Ruins and history of several thousand years, and is the site of the old Shu Kingdom along with Sichuan province's Jinsha and Sanxingdui ruins.
It is a place with authentic western Sichuan folk customs, culture, history, and heritage. It also has several top resort hotels and urban theme parks, and festivals that attract lots of visitors. Its goal is to become a leisurely urban tourist attraction and to make full use of its abundant tourist resources.
