Chuanju Opera, a traditional Chinese opera that originated in Sichuan province nearly 1,700 years ago, is a Chinese cultural treasure. The Chuanju Opera Art Museum in Chengdu is the first of its kind in China.
The museum has three exhibition halls. With rare historical records, photos, masks, costumes and instruments on display, it demonstrates how Chuanju Opera developed during the past centuries, and showcases its exquisite performing arts.
