The company was established on April 14, 1993 in Chengdu. It now covers an area of 138，666 square meters, with a $20 million registered capital and a total investment of $50 million. Since November, 1994, when the company began production, it has been striving to become the largest food company in western China.
The company's major market is located in Southwest and Northwest China. It has subsidiaries in eight cities including Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanchong, Kunming, Xi’an, Lanzhou, Guiyang and Dali. The company has 30 business offices and 27 auxiliary sales teams, with over 1,600 staff in total.
Chengdu Uni-President Enterprises Co is a food conglomerate. It mainly engages in the manufacture and sale of instant noodles, beverages and meat products, which include instant noodles in a variety of flavors such as Tongyi (Uni) 100 and Haojingdao (pliable texture) and branded beverages such as iced black tea, oolong tea and green tea.
The company has five production lines of instant noodles, two lines of PET-bottled beverages, one automatic line of bottles controlled by high-tech computers and a meat processing factory. All the production lines and factory are equipped with international advanced manufacturing facilities and obtained quality certification of IS09001-2000 in October, 2001.
