An African carving art exhibition is being held at the Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, Sichuan province, until May 3.
Nearly 200 carving artworks created by artists from Sub-Saharan Africa in the 17th to the 19th century are on display, including statues of gods, witchcraft instruments and articles of daily use.
Various activities are held during the exhibition to attract more children. For example, artists from France will teach children to make masks with modern artistic methods on March 28.
