Chengdu residents test drive new energy vehicles

Nov 12 was the test driving day of the 12th Michelin Challenge Bibendum, which took place in the city of Chengdu, Sichuan province. Numerous visitors took part in the activities to test drive various battery electric cars and hybrid electric cars.

Held from Nov 11 to 15, the challenge this year is themed “Promoting Traffic Innovation with Economic Growth and Improvement of Urban Life Quality.” Industry leaders from all over the world gathered in Chengdu to discuss sustainable development within the traffic industry at a global level.

"We strongly believe that sustainable traffic will not only create new business opportunities, but also benefit each and every individual and the entire society," said Patrick Oliva, senior vice-president of Michelin Group for strategic planning and sustainable development and chairman of the challenge.
