A happy tour to Joy Sunflower Field

Joy Sunflower Field in Yongning county, Wenjiang district of Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, is a place designed to deliver joy. This year witnesses the second season of Joy Sunflower Field.
Li Junqi, who runs Jincui Yufu farmhouse near the sunflower field, has been very busy these days. Sunflowers in the Joy Sunflower Field nearby are blooming. Li has to speed up his preparation work to welcome tourists.
Li, who was born and raised in Wenjiang, was engaged in the construction machinery business in Chengdu until last year, when he brought his friends to the newly established Joy Sunflower Field for leisure. Then an idea occurred to him when he found that no recreational facilities were available nearby.
Li's idea happened to meet the demands of local tourism authorities in Wenjiang, and he opened the farmhouse. Besides traditional catering and entertainment service, the farmhouse has two fish ponds, one for catching fish and the other for catching lobsters. Tourists at Joy Sunflower Field have a good place for fishing, playing cards, dining and resting after strolling through the sunflowers.
For the upcoming tourist season, Li Junqi hired six more chefs and three more waiters. He has also posted photos on social media to promote the sunflower field. This year, Joy Sunflower Field put up a sightseeing stand, which is a house-shaped deck made of bamboo. Catering service, snacks and fruits are available, enabling tourists to drink tea while enjoying the scenery. Meanwhile, an exhibition area for farm products was set up, providing organic agricultural products like canola oil and rice. There is also a special zone for experiencing farm life, where tourists can pick vegetables and experience the fun of engaging in farm work. Everything is ready for welcoming the tourists. In less than a month, all the sunflowers will be in full bloom.
Joy Sunflower Field, seen from its unique elements and design of functional areas, is growing into a modern agriculture sightseeing garden, which integrates agricultural production, eco-tourism, promotion of agricultural science, farm product exhibition and eco-resort for leisure and holiday.
