The Zhongguancun Mobile Internet Industry Alliance was established on January 26, 2011.

The establishment of the Zhongguancun Mobile Internet Industry Alliance was supported by the Beijing municipal government and driven by the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park and the Beijing municipal commission of economy and information.

The Alliance consists of nearly 100 enterprises, including those with core competitiveness, such as Beijing Mobile, Beijing Unicom, Beijing Telecom, Shengtuo Media, Zhongguancun Software Park, Datang Telecom, Techfaith Wireless, CCID Media, K-Touch and Aigo.

The Alliance aims to accelerate the development of the Zhongguancun mobile Internet industrial circle. It also plans to build the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone into a national mobile Internet industrial center.

The alliance has the following tasks: facilitating the R&D and formulation of key mobile Internet technologies and standards; motivating the transformation of technological achievements; expanding the scale of the Zhongguancun mobile Internet industrial cluster and the business alliance, reducing disordered competitions among industrial companies, and building economic entities that are comparable to international super-sized enterprises.

The alliance will conduct strategic studies for the Zhongguancun mobile Internet industrial circle, push forward the innovation mechanism, optimize industrial environment, attract industry investments, and produce a strong industrial cluster that plays a prospective, dominant and demonstrative role in the capital's mobile Internet industry.
