Li Aimin, Partner and Vice-President of China Venture Capital (CVC)
After studying venture capital and management for non-profit organizations at Duke University as a visiting scholar, Li became a key member of China's venture capital policy-making team and co-drafted major laws and regulations in this field.
Li is frequently invited to address forums, seminars, TV programs and annual meetings of large companies, where he mainly introduces China's venture capital policies and its recent development.
As one of its initiators, Li assisted the Beijing municipal government in building the Venture Capital Association of Beijing and served there as a volunteer.
He co-drafted the China Venture Capital Annual Report 2002, the first detailed almanac of its kind, and was involved in the initiative for four consecutive years.
Li also served as a diplomat in the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco, during which he promoted exchange and cooperation between Chinese and American high-tech companies, studied innovation mechanisms in Silicon Valley and established relationships with investment institutions there.
