Zhang Fumao
Founder, President and CEO of Gamgoo
As a graduate from Shandong University of Technology, Zhang entered Beijing Kingsoft Corporation in 2002 and later became deputy-marketing manager.
In 2005, he was appointed as the marketing director of iGame, a casual game of Sina. He later founded Beijing Gamgoo Information Technology Company in 2006.
As a Beijing high-tech enterprise, Gamgoo is one of the first companies to explore and operate web games. It now has over 300 employees.
Gamgoo's first product, Might and Hero, was released in 2007. Within one week after its launch, the game set a new record of online users in the web game sector, becoming the leader in domestic online games.
After receiving millions of yuan in investment from two venture capital institutions, Keimyung and Disney in 2009, Gamgoo issued the game Seven Powers in 2010. With 600,000 online registered users, it broke many records for web game operation and was listed as one of the "Top 10 Online Games in China".
As the CEO of Gamgoo, Zhang Fumao was recognized as a "New Star of the Chinese Game Industry" in 2009 and the "10 Most Popular Men of Gaming" in 2010.
