Mary Nan is the founder, CEO and publisher of Entrepreneur China Magazine, a publication for entrepreneurs in China co-funded by the International Digital Group (IDG) and Zero2IPO Group.
Mary has broad knowledge of China's venture capital market and a deep understanding of entrepreneurs in China. Before founding Entrepreneur China, she worked for Zero2IPO as managing director and headed the Financial Advisory Service (FAS) Division. She joined Zero2IPO in 2002 and founded the Zero2IPO Research Center and Business Development Center. From 2005 to 2006, she led the FAS team and helped over 10 high-growth-rate companies raise roughly $150 million.
Prior to that, Mary worked for ChinaVest, a VC firm that entered China in the 1980s. Before joining the VC industry, she was the chief editor and chief reporter for the China Science and Technology Information Magazine and an editor and reporter for the China Economic Herald Daily. As a journalist, she interviewed many world famous economists such as Joseph Stiglitz, Vice Chairman of the World Bank.
Mary received her master's degree from the International MIT-Tsinghua Joint MBA Program at Tsinghua Business School.
