Wang Zhiwei, CEO of Beijing IV Software Co Ltd, is responsible for the overall strategic operation of the enterprise. His organization explores new models of innovation for software enterprises in China. He uses the principles of marketing management and product development as a basis for new product development. He was selected as one of the top 10 leading figures in China's software industry in 2005.

Wang obtained his bachelor's and master's degree in computer science when he studied in the United States in the 1980s. In 1988, he began work for the computer department of the International Monetary Fund and engaged in the development of its financial system. In 1993, he joined the UNIFACE Software Company in Holland and worked as a product manager, responsible for the design and planning of their software platform.

After COMPUWARE (United States) acquired UNIFACE in 1995, he was dispatched to work in COMPUWARE (Japan) as a senior technology consultant for Japanese and Korean clients. He was responsible for providing consultations on building key application systems based on the UNIFACE platform.

In 1997, he was appointed to work in COMPUWARE’s Hong Kong and Beijing office as the Asian technical support director. He founded Beijing IV Co Ltd after returning to China in 2000.

IV Company boasts 21 software products and intellectual property rights, enjoying an 86 percent market share in telecommunications, national defence and other sectors. The cumulative growth rate of the company reached 800 percent in the past decade. In November 2006, IV Company was rated as a "Technology Fast 50 (China)" company and a "Technology Fast 50 (Asia Pacific)" company by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
