Yu Ping, CEO of Jing-jin Electric (Beijing) Co Ltd
Yu Ping graduated from the automobile engineering department of Tsinghua University. He worked as an engineer and engineering project manager at General Motors (China). He participated in founding the Shanghai General Motor, a joint venture, in charge of new energy vehicle projects at General Motors in China. Yu studied in the United States in 1999. He obtained a master's degree in automobile engineering from the University of Michigan and a master of business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In the five years thereafter, Yu worked as a senior engineer for hybrid-electric vehicles, global hybrid-electric vehicle strategy and as a planning manager at the General Motors headquarters in the United States.
Yu returned to China in 2008. He founded Jing-jin Electric with Dr Cai Wei and served as CEO. In 2011, Yu was awarded the title of "top 10 new stars of overseas returnees in the Zhongguancun Science Park."
