Yonghe Park

Officially opened in September 2006, Yonghe Park was certified by the Beijing Municipal People's Government as the "Cultural and Creative Industries Cluster Area of Beijing" in December 2006, and the "National Copyright Trade Base" in February 2009.

Covering an area of 290.30 hectares, the park stretches eastward to Dongzhimen North Street and East No2 Ring Road, southward to Gulou West Street, Gulou East Street, Jiaodaokou East Street, Dongzhimennei Street and Haiyuncang Hutong, westward to Old Gulou Street, Dongzhimen South Street and Dongyangwei Street, and northward to North Second Ring Road, Dongzhimennei Street and Min'an Street.

Yonghe Park prioritizes the development of cultural and creative industries. It has formed four industrial clusters, namely intellectual property rights, digital contents, cultural tourism and entertainment, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) S&T and culture clusters. The park currently contains more than 1,700 enterprises, whose value is expected to add by 17 billion yuan ($2.68 billion) in 2010.

The intellectual property right industry in Yonghe Park is centered on copyright and cultural property-rights exchanges, and is supplemented by cultural finance, copyright resources and integrated services.

Yonghe Park's major development field covers new digital media, with key focus on the cultivation of large-scale media enterprises and key technical service providers of digital contents.
