The city of Chizhou in Anhui province has just held a leisure agriculture and rural tourism promotional event in Hefei to publicize its unique rural tourism resources.
As one of the pioneering cities to develop leisure agriculture in Anhui province, Chizhou now possesses one national and two provincial leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration counties, and over 800 rural scenic spots.
All the districts or counties of the city have their own functional variations. For instance, Guichi district, with spots like Jiuhua Tianchi, Xinghua village and the King Hole, targets building rural holiday resorts; Dongzhi county, famous for its Yao and Shun culture and Jinhu National Nature Reserve focuses on building holiday resorts; Shitai county is endeavoring to create an image of the "most beautiful original ecology mountain village of China"; Jiuhua Mountain focuses on its own industrial chain and fully supports local tourism businesses, and Qingyang county, as it is close to Jiuhua Mountain, serves as a transit and reception base for tourists to the mountain.
