By February 24, the construction of the Dabie Mountain pro-poor tourism project had completed 31 percent of the total at a value of 110 million yuan ($17.9m).
Located in Jinzhai county, Liu’an city, Anhui province, the pro-poor tourism express lane is one of the “five plus one” pro-poor projects in the area of Jinzhai supported by the central government. It will profoundly enhance this area’s economic and social development and greatly facilitate people’s lives. Ever since the beginning of this project, relevant leaders from departments at all levels have come to evaluate it and make suggestions for future work.
In order to speed up the project, three construction businesses – China Railway 10 Bureau, China Railway Tunnel Stock Company and Anhui Road & Bridge Group – have strictly divided the work month-by-month. All managerial and technical staff even gave up their Spring Festival vacations to ensure the around-the-clock construction continued unabated. Up until now, 37.8 percent of the tunnel has been finished, and the whole project is expected to be finished by the end of August.
