The city of Chizhou, Anhui province, earned a spot on the list of China's Top 100 Tourism Competitiveness Cities 2013 out of 293 participating cities.
The list, which has been released consecutively over the past four years, is based on comprehensive evaluation of the tourism environment, resources and market, as well as management and innovation. Following its place on the China Excellent Tourism Cities list, the title of 'China Top 100 Tourism City' will serve as a new city image with great significance.
A total of 293 municipal administrative and 1,289 county-level units participated in the selection. Four cities in Anhui province successfully entered the list: Chizhou, Huangshan, Hefei and Anqing. Additionally, Qingyang county also earned the title of '2013 China Top 100 Tourism Competitiveness County', ranking 48th.
