On September 5, an Anqing tourism promotion conference took place in Hefei Peace Hotel. Representatives from 4A-level or above scenic spots in Anqing city and travel agencies in Hefei attended the conference.

Chen Anda, deputy director of the Hefei Tourism Bureau, gave his welcome speech, speaking highly of tourism resources in both Anqing and Hefei. He also expressed his wish for the two cities to further enhance cooperation and communication in order to jointly promote tourism in Anhui province.

Zhan Zhigao, host of the conference, made a dynamic introduction of all 4A-level-or-above spots in Anqing city. During the speech, he highlighted a special tour route for the National Day holiday: a Huangmei opera appreciation tour. As the birthplace of Huangmei opera (a kind of traditional Chinese opera formed in the 18th century), Anqing is now determined to promote this as a brand for tourism.
