Xuancheng city, Anhui province, started construction of the Xuancheng-China Tourism Commodity Exposition City recently, Newsxc.com reported on Monday, August 19.
The project, with a total investment of 500 million yuan ($81.7 million), covers an area of 6.8 hectares. It has a building area of roughly 140,000 square meters. It is divided into seven zones according to different commodity categories. The city seeks to become a 4A tourism shopping spot through modern construction and operation, giving Xuancheng the central position in East China's tourism commodity industry.
