China Eastern Airlines launched self-service WeChat check-ins for flights departing from Hefei, Anhui province, on July 19. WeChat check-in, as well as short message check-ins and online check-ins, save passengers the trouble of waiting in line and helps passengers select seats in advance.
China Eastern Airlines announced that from July 19, WeChat check-in was available for flights departing from 14 airports, including Shanghai Hongqiao, Pudong, Xi'an, Beijing, Kunming, Qingdao, Jinan, Taiyuan, Wuhan, Ningbo, Shijiazhuang, Lanzhou, Hefei and Nanchang. After adding the public account of 'China Eastern Airlines', passengers can get access to the WeChat check-in service. The service is available for flights leaving Hefei to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Hong Kong and Taipei.
WeChat is a mobile text and voice messaging communication service developed by Tencent in China.
