The opening ceremony of the Taiwan - Anhui 2012 Film Week was held at the Yuanshan Hotel, Taipei on August 28. Two hundred cultural projects spanning radio, film, TV and online animation attracted 189.68 billion yuan ($29.76 billion) in total investment.

Cao Zhenghai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the Publicity Department, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

During the ceremony, 13 projects with total investments of 2.84 billion yuan ($446.69 million) were successfully signed, including the TV series and film "Li Bai", and a TV series about Si county in Suzhou.

More than 300 distinguished guests in the cultural industry and business circle in Taiwan attended the ceremony.
