Inbound tourism is on the rise in Huangshan Mountain with 220,400 tourists visiting the area during the first six months of this year, a more than 80 percent increase year-on-year.
Earnings from foreign exchange during the same period were $366 million.
Due to the opening and intensifying of charter flights between Huangshan and Seoul, South Korea, the surge of Korean tourists has given a great boost to Huangshan's inbound tourism market.
In addition, visitor numbers from Taiwan have been increasing since April, when officials of Huangshan Mountain participated in a tourism trade show, which focused on the tourist market in Taiwan, held by Anhui province. They carried out in-depth research and further improved communications and cooperation with the Taiwan tourism industry.
Also, according to Huangshan airport, as the world economy is gradually moving out of its downturn, the number of American and European tourists is set to increase as well.
