Outdoor exploration on the cliffs and waterfalls of Qiupu River

Qiupu River, located in Guichi district, Chizhou city, is a national AAAA tourism zone. Among the countless scenic spots in Anhui province, it is a combination of magnificence, tranquility and has long been acclaimed as a marvel of the natural world.

Visitors can enjoy a four-kilometer whitewater rafting adventure down the stream, traversing 14 rapids. During the journey, picturesque natural landscapes will come into view.

Towards the end of course, there is a cliff named Baizhang cliff, meaning a hundred “Zhang” (nearly 333 meters) high cliff. A waterfall tumbles down from the cliff all year long. It is an ideal place for orienteering.

Li Bai, one of the most popular poets in Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), enjoyed himself so much at this spot that he never left it. He composed the poem "Song of Qiupu” in honor of the area’s beauty:

Long and long grows my white hair,

For in my heart abides an endless care.

When a glance into the mirror I cast,

I wonder from whence comes autumn frost.

In addition to rafting, visitors can ride waterwheels, catch fish, go hunting in ancient willow woods, and feast on barbecues and green bamboo rice here.
